CCSW Statement of Faith

• We believe that there is only one living and true God. We believe in His triune nature of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that He created the entire universe and everything in it. We believe that God sovereignly rules over every aspect of existence and keeps everything together by His grace and His will.

• We believe that the Bible is true; that it is the inerrant word of God, passed down to mankind through divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe that every word written is without error and is infallible.

• We believe that God saves people from an eternity of torment by trusting in Jesus Christ.

• We believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Sprit and of a virgin birth. We believe that Jesus lived a sinless life upon the earth. We believe in His miracles performed which were mentioned in the Bible and in the teachings that were mentioned in the Bible.

• We believe that Jesus was crucified, died and was resurrected on the third day and appeared to many eye-witnesses before ascending into Heaven.

• We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came from God the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin and always point to Jesus Christ as Savior of the world. We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in each believer of Christ and a seal of promise of salvation for all of time.

• We believe that the Holy Spirit is present and empowers each believer of Christ; He is a helper, teacher and guide. We believe also in the exercise of gifts of the Holy Spirit.

• We believe that all of mankind are sinful in nature, as mentioned in the Bible (Romans 3:23), and fall short of the glory of God.

• We believe Jesus committed two ordinances to the Church: 1. Baptism and, 2. the Lord's Supper.

• We believe in baptism by immersion and communion open to all believers.

• We believe also in the laying on of hands for baptism of the Holy Spirit, for the ordination of pastors, elders, and deacons; and receiving of the Holy Spirit, through the believer, the gift of healing.

• We believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to the earth and the establishing of His Kingdom; and in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked.
